Worldviews Network logic model, version 2
This is the web version of the logic model (PDF, one page, 31 KB), for screen readers and small screens. The diagram's boxes are given as lists, and its arrows as sentences.
The diagram draws a loop of four boxes, connected by arrows. The boxes have no titles of their own, so the headings for them below are added here. The text under the loop has its own headings.

How the parts connect
The motivation sits to the left of the participants' box, with no arrow to or from it.
An arrow runs from the participants (Host ISE, Production Team, Community Organizations) to the programs (Immersive Visualization, Bioregional Community Dialogue). It is labelled with what the participants bring: technology and visualizations, pedagogy, content knowledge, and funding.
An arrow runs from the programs to the three audiences: ISI/Planetarium Professionals, Advisors and Influential Public.
An arrow runs from the audiences to the box headed "All participants enhance their own stature and effectiveness".
An arrow runs from that box back to the participants' box, which closes the loop.
The long-term changes below are plain text under the loop, with no arrows.
Long-term changes
Over time, Worldviews Network seeks to contribute to large-scale changes in how individuals and society deal with environmental challenges, and in how Planetariums / ISIs take a central role in facilitating that new landscape.
Planetarium Field
- Earth-focused programming becomes a mainstay of public programming and mission
- Local, place-based, Earth-systems issues become guiding principle for storytelling
- Commit to self-sustained ongoing, community engagement
- ISIs are viewed as a core trusted “place to go” for multi-disciplinary dialogue about social-ecological issues and solutions
Individuals
- Increase capacity for and comfort with complex thinking
- Expand worldviews to be grounded in understanding of coupled human-natural systems
Society
- Uses ongoing, cross-disciplinary collaboration in service of addressing socio-ecological problems from a systems perspective.
- Fosters a spirit of opportunity and engagement around social-ecological challenges
- Identifies new indicators for value in society (i.e., not solely production/consumption GNP)
